CLEO Guided Pathways: Free Tools for Separation and Divorce

Wednesday, October 28, 2026
12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Join us during Access to Justice Week to learn how CLEO’s free Guided Pathways can help people start, respond to, and take next steps in family court proceedings following separation or divorce in Ontario.

Developed in partnership with Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General, the Guided Pathways are free online tools that help users complete court forms, identify relevant legal issues and next steps, and access legal information as they move through the process.

There is a Guided Pathway for many of the most common steps in a family law matter, including:

  • exploring dispute-resolution options and planning financially for separation
  • starting a family court case, including for parenting, support, property division, or divorce
  • responding to an Application or replying to an Answer
  • preparing for case, settlement, and trial management conferences
  • making or responding to motions, including emergency motions
  • asking to change an existing order or agreement, including changes on consent
  • preparing other important court documents, including property calculations, draft orders, support agreements for enforcement, and fee-waiver requests

This webinar will include a live demonstration of the family law Guided Pathways, showing how they use plain-language questions to guide users through the information needed to complete court forms.

The session will also cover key legal and procedural considerations and explain how to access the Pathways through Steps to Justice and Ontario’s Court Forms website.
