A power of attorney is a legal document in which one person gives another person the power to make personal and financial decisions for them when they are unable. This series outlines important issues that should be considered when preparing a power of attorney. Participants will also learn how to use CLEO’s Power of Attorney Guided Pathway, an easy-to-use interactive tool that helps people prepare a Power of Attorney. 

Part 1: Power of Attorney for Personal Care

Learn about important considerations when making a Power of Attorney for Personal Care. This gives another person the power to make decisions about your personal care when you are no longer able. This could include things like healthcare, housing, food, hygiene, and safety. Learn how to use CLEO’s Guided Pathway

Part 2: Power of Attorney for Property

Learn about important considerations when making a Power of Attorney for Property. This gives another person the power to manage your property for you. Property is anything you own or have the sole right to use, like money, a rental apartment, or furniture. Learn how to use CLEO’s Guided Pathway.
