CLEO Legal Information Webinars image

International students increasingly seek support from community workers when facing issues with work, housing, tuition, and immigration. There have also been many changes to international student rules recently. This webinar will provide information about:

  • rules and restrictions international students face in relation to employment and applying for permanent residency, including recent announcements about work hours, caps on study permits, proof of funds and work permit eligibility.
  • resources available to international students struggling with school and access to public services like healthcare.

Our presenter will share successful strategies to address various work, housing and school issues. Concrete examples of resources and best practices to support students will also be discussed.
