Many community workers support clients who want to apply for permanent resident (PR) status in Canada. One way to do this is by making a Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) application. An H&C is a request to apply for PR status from inside Canada that is based on all of the person’s circumstances.
This webinar will outline important details about the H&C process - who can apply and what supporting evidence community workers can help clients gather. Our speakers will also share resources, tips, and cautions about making an H&C application.
Speakers:
Kristin Marshall, Legal Skills Trainer, Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO)
Rathika Vasavithasan, Staff Lawyer-Migrant Rights, Parkdale Community Legal Services (PCLS)
ASL Interpretation will be provided.
