CLEO and the Black Legal Action Centre (BLAC) are hosting a free two-part webinar series for front-line workers supporting clients who need accommodation. Ontario's human rights laws say that employers and landlords must do what they can to accommodate employees and tenants. This means removing barriers that can prevent equal access to employment and housing because of a disability or other personal characteristic protected by Ontario’s Human Rights Code. Register for the sessions you’d like to attend. They’ll also be recorded and available online later. Part 1: Asking employers for accommodationWednesday, September 24 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Learn how to support clients to ask for an accommodation at work. - how to best support a request for reasonable accommodation
- situations when an employer may not be able to accommodate an employee
