Temporary and Permanent Residence Pathways for Child Welfare Survivors

Our System, Our Children, Our Responsibility (OSOCOR), in partnership with the Refugee Law Office, the Black Legal Action Centre, and CLEO Connect, are pleased to present on the Temporary and Permanent Residence Pathways for Foreign Nationals Who Were in State Care. People who came to Canada under the age of 19 and were in state care for at least 12 months may be eligible to apply. These temporary pathways are available until January 2027.

The presentation will cover:

  • the purpose of the pathways
  • who is eligible
  • how to apply
  • important points about the process

This session will be recorded and shared online for later viewing. The information in the presentation is supplementary to the Steps to Justice question, I moved to Canada as a child and was taken into care. Can I stay here permanently?
